Micro-Production of Wines

A wine that takes the name of the one who cultivated it, of the one who believed in their dreams.
We are in Agliè in the 1960s, when at the age of 29 Antonio Maffeo, nicknamed 'Tunin Fejot', with a future as a building contractor already well established, and which he would pursue throughout his life, still had another dream: to cultivate vineyards.
Born into a farming family, at a time when the land was used to feed the family's needs and nothing more, at a time when most people were leaving country life for more profitable work in the Olivetti factories, he decided to go against the trend and invest in the land and in particular in vineyards.

As for the grape varieties to cultivate, Antonio decided to keep the Barbera grape, typical of the area, but also to promote another variety, at the time even frowned upon by many, the Erbaluce grape.
Erbaluce is one of the oldest Piedmontese wines, already known in Roman times under the name 'Alba Lux' and later mentioned, in the 17th century, by various scholars who described it as "white, shining like the dawn." This is evidenced by the 1606 work of Giovan Battista Croce in the book “Della eccellenza e diversità de i vini che nella Montagna di Torino si fanno, e del modo di farli”.
The territory of Agliè allows the production of both Erbaluce D.O.C.G. grapes (left map) and Canavese D.O.C. grapes such as Barbera and Nebbiolo among others (right map)
Castle of Agliè

The "sweet village" of Agliè is located about 30 km north of Turin.
It hosts, among other wonders, the Castle of Agliè and the summer residence of Guido Gozzano
The hilly portion of the territory of Agliè is located on the right side of the Ivrea Morainic Amphitheater
Villa il Meleto (Guido Gozzano)

"That sweet country I will not name"
Guido Gozzano
Our vineyards rise on those hills, and by tasting the wine you can grasp the essence and the unique features of the territory.

Decades-old vineyards that withstand the test of time. Cultivated with both ancient and modern methods, passing down experience as well as passion.

A journey that continues every day, every season, every year...

Grown with passion since 1960

Extreme selection for extreme quality
First, you choose from which vineyards or vineyard to take the grapes based on the existing characteristics and the desired final result.
Then you proceed on foot, picking the individual bunches. Calmly and carefully, as with all things done with care.
Of the total available, only a minimal percentage is vinified. Where thousands of bottles could be produced, instead only a single barrique is made...!
